Von Oberwerth geht es über die Rheinbrücke Richtung Bendorf. Uf dem Fußweg zur Festung Ehrenbreitstein werden die ersten richtigen Höhenmeter gesammelt. Den Ausblick auf das Rhein- und Moseltal sollte man sich auf jeden Fall gönnen. Es lohnt sich.
Danach geht es weiter zur Schmittenhöhe, dem ehemaligen??? Truppenübungsplatz vor den Toren von Koblenz. Ein tolles Gelände für Jogger und Fahrradfahrer.
