Die Tour beginnt in Falkenstein am Bahnhof und endet in Plauen an der Elster-Brücke.

Der Anfang führt uns über eine ehemalige Bahnstrecke bis ins Elstertal, an der Talsperre Pirk und am Flußlauf entlang bis nach Plauen. Der Radweg auf der Bahnstrecke ist asphaltiert, dann wird es kurz etwas ruppig (aber mit schöner Sicht auf eine Vorsperre) bis der weitere Weg außer Asphalt auch eine gesandete Oberfläche anbietet.
