Die Tour beginnt beim Hotel Alexander Beach in Malia. Es geht vom Meer leicht bergauf über die Hauptstraße und vorbei an Einfamilienhäuser. Dann geht es vorbei an einem Hotel und dann sieht man eine Markierung (siehe Bild) vor einem rostigem Zaungitter. Dieses kann man öffnen und man folge der blauen Markierung. Achtung, vor stacheligem Gestrüpp. Wunderbarer Blick auf das Mittelmeer und auf Malia. Der Abstieg ist identisch dem Aufstieg, leicht übersieht man die Rechtsabbiegung, hier haben kretische Bergkameraden jedoch in weiser Voraussicht ein Bergsteigerseil auf einem Baum aufgehängt. Der Steig verfügt über keinerlei Versicherungen.
