Vom Parkplatz entlang der Rodelbahn zu einem Gehöft. Nun leicht abwärts in einen Graben und zu einer Forsthütte bei der Rechtskurve. Hierher kommt man auch vom Parkplatz Huben. Auf der Straße weiter bis zur Talalm. Über die Wiese zur Forststraße und dieser bis zur Priener Hütte folgen.
Abstieg auf dem Anstiegsweg.
Von der Hütte ist auch noch die Besteigung des Geigelstein, 1813m möglich. Richtung Norden zur Bergwachthütte und durch die Westmulde auf den Sattel. Hier nach rechts und durch die teils steile Nordflanke zum Gipfel. Etwa 1 Std. von der Hütte.
