Die Tour schlängelt sich von Aussichtspunkt zu Aussichtspunkt. Wir besuchen die Burg Nideggen bevor es oberhalb der Rur weiter durch den Wald zum Hindenburg Tor geht. Auf dem Kamm des Naturschutzgebiet Bundsandstein passieren wir weitere Aussichtspunkte. Ab dem Eugenienstein geht es steil hinunter ins Rurtal. Wir queren die Rur und folgen dieser bis unterhalb von Nideggen. Die letzten Meter führen steil hinauf zur Jugendherberge unserem Ausgangspunkt.
