Start und Ziel ist der Parkplatz an der Herzogstandbahn in Walchensee. Von hier geht es zunächst durch den Wald hinuaf zum Heimgarten. Hier bieten sich immer wieder tolle Ausblicke auf den Walchensee. Die Heimgartenhütte bietet eine Stärkung und Erfrischung bei tollem Ausblick. Weiter geht es über den Grat zum Herzogstand. Dabei liegt uns links der Kochelsee und rechts der Walchensee zu Füßen. Von hier geht es zu Fuss hinunter zum Ausgangspunkt. Alternativ kann man auch die Bahn zurück zum Ausgangspunkt nehmen.
