A very straight forward (very boring) ride. 15km mainly up and down on one highway, 3 loops. There  is not much to see. One side of the highway is closed for the race and you race one lane up, one lane down. with 1500 participants it's Asia's biggest race but it's too crowed to have a fair race on this very short course. Be prepared for little space for overtaking and a lot of drafters, if you're the quicker one on the bike. Only one aid station (!) per lap (30km), no gels just drinks (100plus, water) in bicycle bottles. The major obstacle are the highway bridges that you cycle up and down, one of them is pretty steep and long (see profile).

The swim is average - just master it. 2 laps in the murky sea water Marina Parade@BigSplash.

The best part of the race is definitely the run, which is mainly along the very nice East Coast Park and there is a chance to get some shade, as there are a lot of trees but it's still hot. Part of the run course is on grass/non-tarmack (maybe overall 1km per lap). 3 laps to make, aid stations are every 1,5km approx. after abt 700m into the race from transition, you need to run over a bridge, 6 times in total. About 6-7m high and steeper with each lap.

The transition area is totally packed with bikes and you need to align all your race gear around the bike (like at an olympic distance race). it can be quite crowded, so make sure you have all your procedures under control.

start, finish and the transition area are around the Marina Parade/Big Splash, East Coast Park. Follow the highway (ECP) and take the corresponding exit.
