Sehr schöne Strecke im Elmpter Bruch. Bruch-, Wald- und Heidelandschaft wechseln sich ab. Der Weg führt am Venekotensee, an der Schwalm und einigen kleineren Heideseen und Mooren vorbei.

1. Möglichkeit: An der an der Landstraße von Brüggen nach Swalmen (L373) liegt linksabgehend ein Wanderparkplatz ("Wanderparkplatz 1") .
2. Möglichkeit: A 52 Richtung Roermond in Emlpt abfahren (Ausfahrt 2) und weiter auf der B 230 Richtung Grenze. Nach ca. 2,5 km ist in Höhe einer Brücke nach rechts ein Wanderparkplatz ("Wanderparkplatz 2") ausgeschildert.
