Startpunkt ist am Loipentor 1 bzw. an der Gaststätte Waldeck/ Rotes Vorwerk. Die Strecke verläuft größtenteils durch dichten Nadelwald. Daher steht in der Regel auch nur eine Loipenspur zur Verfügung. Kurz nach der Gaststätte rechts die Loipe durch den Wald nehmen. In der Mitte der Strecke ist eine mittelschwere, aber kurze Abfahrt zu bewältigen. Der Kreuzbrückfelsen befindet sich auf dem Gipfel des 1028m hohen Eisenbergs, etwa 2km nördlich vom Fichtelberg. Vom Kreuzbrückfelsen und vom Aussichtspunkt an der Stümpelhütte bietet sich ein weiterer Rundblick über das Erzgebirge.
