Am Parkplatz der Brauneck-Bahn (720m) in Lenggries geht es los. Wir laufen Richtung Dorf und biegen dann rechts ab zum Jaudenhang (725m). Von dort geht es bergauf Richtung Kotalm (1182m). Wir folgen dem Weg zur Bergstation der Brauneckbahn. Von sind es dann nur noch 40Hm zum Brauneck-Gipfelhaus (1540m). Ein kurzer Abstecher führt zum Brauneck-Gipfelkreuz (1555m). Der Abstieg zurück zum Parkplatz mit der Brauneck-Bahn.
Alternativ kann man den Abstieg über den Garland vorbei am Speichersee über die Weltcupabfahrt zurück zur Talstation (ggf. über die Reiseralm (907m).
