Nice landscape with many tulpfields, as far the eye can see. You see this from the middle of April to the end of May. If you bike this route on friday, then you can see in centra of Alkmaar( Waagplein) the chess market. Is is the approximately 10 min from your the startpoint. It is going on from April 3 to Sept. 4 from 10-12:30.
