We did this tour in late November. With the exception of the two short pieces along the road we saw absolutely no-one. However, we did see loads of deer - one herd tried to hide behind a bush from us. Wow, the smell!

The trail doesn't seem to be well used. The map indicates following route W5 but this is not marked from the car park and it took us a while to find the right route.
A nice, varied woodland walk without too much exertion after the first uphill bit. A short bit of open farmland and a few metres along a public road until you pick up W4 (also not marked!).
As ever, the Garmin didn't perform too well in the woods and hills so I have re-worked the plot as a route overlaid in Magicmaps Hessen 3D.
The Wispertal is a superb river valley, well worth the drive on its own. Some nice restaurants and watering holes to refresh afterwards are along this road.

Nice Tour!
The first stretch is really in bad repair - the trail is not maintained, and I had to climb across quite a few fallen trees.
