Das Café Denkmal in der Domäne Blumenrod ist der Start und auch das Ziel für diese Wanderung. Von Blumenrod geht es in Richtung Holzheim mit Burg Ardeck. Aber ich bleibe auf der Höhe und gehe nicht nach Holzheim hinunter sondern es geht weiter in Richtung Freiendiez. In der Ferne sieht man das Grafenschloss von Diez. Vor der Brücke nach Freiendiez geht die Strasse weiter geradeaus in am Ort vorbei in die Felder hinein. Ein matschiger Wiesenweg führt zurück nach Blumenrod. Da ich noch etwas Zeit habe bis das Café öffnet mache ich einen kleinen Umweg durch den Park am Grossbach.
