This is the fifth day of a six day coast to coast mountainbilke ride through the Scottish Highlands from Kyle of Lochalsh at the Atlantic coast to Montrose at the Northsea shores.
In Tomintoul you enter the moorlands and forests of the Cairngorms National Park again and follow the tracks to Ballater. A stop at the Royal Lochnagar Distillery is highly recommended.
