Vom Parkplatz Planneralm, links entlang des bis zum Waldrand und diesen mehrmals die Loipe querend eher flach aufwärts ins Tal der Karlspitze. Der meist stark ausgetretenen Schispur anfangs leicht, später stark steigend folgen bis zum Grat. Am Grat entlang bis zur Karlspitze. Tour kann verlängert werden indem man auch die umliegenden Gipfel besteigt. Abfahrt so wie Aufstieg. Eher einfache Abfahrt zurück zur Planneralm.
